I am in Him

Jesus is the resurrection and the life. (John 14:25-27) No one can come to the Father without understanding that. (John 14:6) We were buried with Him. Now come out of the empty tomb with Him, in Him and as Him in the world now. (Romans 6:4-5) The greater we can identify with that truth, the greater we intimately experience His love for us, which unifies us in Him and displays accurately the Love God has for one another and the world! Ephesians 4:4There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

We will find our identity in what we believe about Jesus as the Word of God. Anything it says about Jesus it says about us because as a believer we are in His body and made to be one (unified) in Him and in one another as His body. (Romans 12:4-5) For us to be our part in the body we have to experience our union in Christ through Him first and then with one another. He is the head, we are His body in the earth today. He gave us the instructions and we carry that out in the earth as His members, as we yield to His will found in His Word and directed by the Holy Spirit. (Romans 6:13) Jesus exemplified this perfectly during His time while physically on the earth. Jesus has made you righteous (as you ought to be) in Himself by exchanging our sin for His innocence, justification, and right standing with God. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

In John 17:3 Jesus says,  “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”

The quality of life of the One who gives it, means knowing God as to intimately experience Him. It is not a head knowledge about Him. He is the Word made flesh and wants you to partake of Him always full of grace and truth. (John 1:14) God is experiential. God is personal. God is hands on in our life. We experience Him through His Word and Spirit working together and coming alive in our hearts which we then experience in our lives.

Did you know Jesus prayed for you? YES YOU!!!

John 17:20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

He prayed that those who will believe in Him would be one with Him and the Father and because of that one with one another. He did this so that the world may believe in the Lord Jesus Christ having been sent for them to be loved in the same way that Jesus is loved by the Father. He prayed for us to share and receive in His glory which is His manifest view and opinion because identifying in Jesus makes us one. Unity in the body of Christ is a fruit of receiving through the incorruptible, implanted Seed, Jesus, the Living Word of God. (1 Peter 1:23) (James 1:21) As we see ourselves in Him as Him in our hearts we reflect it to our world. We do this to the point that we can’t tell where we end and He begins or where he ends and we begin. It is a melding of we really are and have always been created to be only found in being one with Jesus.

Give yourself permission for your Union with Christ! God did!!!
